Federal prosecutors in Minnesota were preparing to charge ICE agent Christian Castro with deprivation of rights under color of law. The case prosecutor wrote that Washington directed them to file only a false-statements charge: 'I objected in the strongest possible terms and fought it as hard as I could. It wasn't enough.' The Justice Department says it has reached no final decision. The next day, the AP and CBS reported he had been fired.
