The $50 billion rural health fund Guest is touring the district to promote was created by the same budget bill he voted for — the one KFF estimates cuts $911 billion from Medicaid, including $137 billion from rural areas. The fund covers about a third of the rural damage, and the law doesn't require the money to reach rural hospitals at all.
