In July 2026 Steil demanded classified briefings from the FBI, DHS and DNI about Trump's claim that 250,000 noncitizens are registered to vote — a figure a leading election expert calls 'completely noncredible.' The counsel he hired to lead the committee's election investigation was a backup fake elector in Arizona.

Tom Tiffany Wants to Break Up the DNR 'For Sportsmen.' The State's Own Audit Says 90% of That Money Already Goes to Them.

Tiffany told a tavern crowd he's open to splitting Wisconsin's Department of Natural Resources so hunting and fishing are separated from environmental permitting. The state's largest sportsmen's group says the real problem is license fees frozen since 2005 — and a former DNR secretary warned in 2016 that a split gives Republicans 'one agency they can feed and one they can starve.'
