Five state-funded charter schools have paid more than $30 million to companies run by Erika Donalds, and one is about to pay $15.7 million more. Byron Donalds's own disclosures show most of the family's wealth comes from her companies — and he wants to be the governor who signs the school budget.

Roger Marshall's longtime business partner Dan Tasset runs Nueterra, a private equity firm whose rural hospitals collapsed and left workers unpaid.
