80,000 Kentuckians Have Lost Food Aid — 24,655 of Them Children. Andy Barr, Brett Guthrie, James Comer and Hal Rogers Voted for the Law That Did It.
Kentucky's SNAP rolls have dropped from 627,164 people last October to just under 547,000, and Gov. Andy Beshear says about 80,000 lost food aid because of the federal changes in Trump's budget bill — including 24,655 children and 6,572 seniors. Four of Kentucky's five Republican House members voted for it. The fifth, Thomas Massie, voted no.
