At a Lea County GOP meeting in Hobbs, a voter asked Hull to commit to working with Greg Abbott to reduce Texans coming to New Mexico for abortions. He said 'absolutely' — three times — and 'I'm pro-life, so we're gonna see what we can do.' A week later he told a reporter the question was about something else.
New Mexico doesn't require ID to vote in statewide elections. Hull's campaign site says he'd change that — 'uniform enforcement of voter identification requirements' statewide — while refusing to answer a questionnaire asking whether people should be able to vote without photo ID.
